  19. Maybe I misunderstand the question, but why don't you just not run it until
  20. you need it.  If its in your startup group then move it elsewhere.

  22. Alternatively, set the retrieve timer rather high. i.e 12-24 hrs.  then if you
  23. want it sooner, just go to the 'message' menu and tell it to do 'retrieve 
  24. messages'.

  26. Do you mean you want it to run when slip is not? or to establish a slip 
  27. connection, retrieve the mail, then hangup?

  29. for the first, you can probably just go to the directory that holds the mail
  30. and read it with any editor/viewer that you have.   For the second, I'm not
  31. sure, but try using the windows recorder (never used it - so I may be wrong)
  32. to record you establishing a connection, fetch your mail, and hang up.
  33. then just run that dialog so it will repeat your actions for you.
